The International Silence All Violence March + Awards Luncheon brings together a global guestlist of dignitaries, elected officials, funders, nonprofits, and community leaders who share a common belief: safety is an agreement. Together, we stand against violence in all its forms and work towards creating safer, more inclusive communities for everyone.

10 AM: Arrive at the Church of the Messiah Detroit, united for the 17th Annual Silence The Violence Detroit March. Meet at 231 E Grand Blvd., Detroit, MI 48207. Free parking is available on the street.

11 AM: The 2024 Silence The Violence Detroit March will depart from Church of Messiah Detroit. Free parking is available on the street.

12 PM: Networking + Neighborhood Tour of the Black-led Islandview Community Development

1PM: The MLK League Leadership Awards Luncheon. Network and build history with leaders from across the country. MLK League membership is required for attendance. All are welcome to join. Members attend for free. 

2 PM:  Keynote by:  Dr. Umar Ifatunde, Psy.D, CSP, M.Ed

3 PM: Awards + Recognition of the MLK League Founding Class of 2024, + all community leaders that have united to silence all violence in the State of Michigan, and all public servants that have served in the deconstruction of violence in our communities.
